Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

For a blackberry action game this is really good. A little over priced, but fun.

This was a lot better than what I was expecting when I first started playing. Instead of the usual sidescroller where death means you get to restart the level, it's a 2D game, with many of the Prince's acrobatic tricks. And when you die, you just go to the last checkpoint, rather than starting all the way over (thank you!). I never did figure out what the orbs do (more points?), or how to use the sands of time you're supposed to get, but with the frequent checkpoints, that wasn't a problem. The controls can be awkward (I didn't even bother trying to use the trackball), and so you don't get nearly the same fluid movement as the console games, which make them such a joy. This is not unexpected in a phone game, but a better approach would have been adaptive controls, where 6 is 'run left', but when you get to a cliff it becomes 'jump left' automatically, instead of having a separate key for that. This game is also very short. But I enjoyed it, and consider my money well spent.
