Great App!

I love knowing exactly when I have to leave to get to an appointment on time. This app takes away all the guesswork. If you have location info in your calendar entry, Prompt pulls it out and tells you when to leave and even adds in the weather to expect at the detination. I had a little troubje at first, but Julian at Prompt har given me the best customer service I have ever had with a BlackBerry app. This is on my “must have“ list

I live in a suburb of a large city with lots of highways and traffic. Almost every drive I make involves driving 20 minutes down a farm road to a connector road just to reach a freeway and from there, anywhere from another 20 minutes (to a short destination) or an hour (if I'm driving to the other side of town). Most of these drives involve being somewhere on time. Since I never know what the traffic will be like, arriving at the appointed hour can be hit or miss. When I saw Prompt I became intrigued. I don't like guessing when I should leave and I don't really like leaving much sooner than necessary. If Prompt really did what it promised, it would be one less worry. So, I took the plunge and truthfully my decision was borne mainly out of curiosity. As far as usage, I don't use Prompt for business purposes. I use it for things such as appointments, events, etc. And to be honest, I don't have many of those. But, every time I have used it, it has been very accurate. Since I'm being honest here, the only shortcoming with Prompt is that it doesn't kick you out the door, throw you in the car, strap you in and point the wheels in the right direction when it is time to go. I have yet to leave ONCE when I was supposed to. However, I know Prompt works because I always perform a little math in my head to determine if I arrived within the allotted time and it has been uncanny in it's accuracy. Even on trips where I thought "No way!". I simply add the number of minutes past when I should have left to the number of minutes that Prompt calculates for drive time and it is always on the money. One day I will leave on time for a change. At least there is one thing Prompt helps me with and that being; it is very accurate in telling me how LATE I'm going to be! If your interest has been piqued I advise you to visit their web site and read up on it. Take the free 7 day trial for yourself. Oh, and, if you are worried about customer support that is one worry you won't have. I have written NUMEROUS emails and every single one was returned with courtesy and promptness. Sometimes within minutes. No question goes unanswered and you might find yourself thinking you are the only customer. If you do a lot of driving for business and hate being late, or, even if you are like me and don't want to be late for that Doctors appointment, or to pick up your grandkids, this app is for you.
