VD-Calc

     VD-Calc is a program no electrician or engineer should be without.  VD-Calc uses a simple interface to perform complex voltage drop calculations.  A settings screen allows users to taylor the software to different code requirements by changing values such as K factors, percent allowable drops, derating factors and accuracy.  The calculator supports copper and aluminum wire types as well as single phase and three phase systems.  Not only does this app give you the percent voltage drop and the actual voltage drop but it also calculates maximum distances wires can be run in meters and in feet.

     By calculating your voltage drop you can easily see the power loss of your system and quickly adjust it to see the difference larger wire can make in power loss.
