GeeReader is a touch optimized Google Reader client for Google Reader power users.

NOTE: This free version now has an advertising banner at the bottom of the feed item list.

Highly optimized feed item loading and parsing to reduce bandwidth usage and to improve download speeds.
Innovative UI allowing you to quickly work through 100s of Feed Subscrioptions with 1000s of feed items.

Direct Integration and syncing with you Google Reader account
- Collapse a folder in GeeReader and the folder will be collapsed on the Google Reader website on refresh.
- View your feed subscriptions in the order that you've configured on the Google Reader website.
- Read, Starred, Kept Unread item statuses are synced immediately

needs offline capability

it's a great reader, but why no ability to cache and read offline for those long subway trips? offer that and i'll buy the pro version

Very good Google reader, lets you add your own feeds and put them in the category you want or need.

Fantastic app. Some of the paid apps paid apps pale in comparison to what they are offering. pro version has good additions as well. 

Cons:
articles open as web pages and sometimes you can click through links to navigate to a new link directly, but there is no back button if u want to return where you were.

Pro version will make a good sense if they can provide an easy offline reading option.
Instapaper is a clunky option, not easy to figure out.
