Does this app only work if you have the password activated?!?! Someone help please!

Works well on my tour. Just a couple bugs here and there. For example, now and then it will just turn my backlight on again instead of putting it into standby, which defeats the purpose of the app. Also, it won't always recognize an application that is running when I want to set an exception. Other that those things, though, works great.

5.0 is official now! On Blackberry 9000 and its making its way on other devices! When will we see a update for this app?

Before I was charging my BB Tour pretty much x2 day.  I do a lot of texting, Bluetooth and music player.  Now, with this program, I've been able to go a full day before I had to charge it.  A definite must have but would be better if it was a dollar or so.

When I got my new Bold I was really disappointed because of the battery. I had to charge daily. But with this application I got back the battery life of my very old Blackberry. This is a must!

So far, I'm on day three without recharging my Curve and there's half the battery to go. Totally worth three bucks for the convenience of not having to put it on standby manually.

I was not sure how beneficial AutoStandby would be for me because I rarely go more than 15-20 minutes without doing something on my phone. I'm impressed. Even having the phone enter standby for those few minutes between uses gets me several more hours out of my 9630. This should be a standard option for the OS.

The only downside is that most applications that auto-update in the background will not do so while the phone is in standby. This includes the Profiler application, BTW. However, this is due to RIM's OS design, not a flaw with the application.

In case you're wondering, phone calls and alerts will still come through while you're in standby, so you won't miss anything important. Buy this app already!

Yes, you could push the standby button yourself, but will you remember to do that EVERY time?! I get way more battery life because of AutoStandby.

What are you reading this for?  You should be buying this already. Battery life tripled with this app on my 9630.
