Works great on my 8530. It has a helpful feature that finds the nearest cache to you with click. A few more clicks and off you go. |

It's simple, did exactly what I wanted for Geocaching, works great on the Bold 9000, Bold 9700 and the Curve 8900. Best of all it is FREE!!!!!!!! |

Took me a little while to get used to the app but I am now very happy with the options provided to me by blackstar.
I can now go geocaching without having to preplan the day's activities. Great for when my wife (she whom I love) has booked up the weekend in an undisclosed location. |

I have an 8330 and my phone searched and searched and couldn't pick up a signal. This app is absolutely terrible. DO BNOT RECOMMOND! |

I have a 9700 and it searched for about half an hour with no satellites found. I have my 3g on with all my bars yet it still didn't work. |

Absolutely brilliant app, does exactly what it says on the tin. Using a Curve 8900, it picked up satellites in absolutely no time at all, very very small inaccuracies with the speed (2kph @ 100kph) so negligible at walking speed. A side note - the Curve 8520 does NOT have GPS, hence why the app doesn't work for you. |

I haven't used the caching features, but the rest of the BlackStar app is awesome on my Bold 9700 running 5.0.0.405. Very quick to find satellites. Creating waypoints is easy, as is listing them and seeing them in BB Maps, or exporting them to a gpx file. The Navigation feature is simple and does the job perfectly. I have been willing to pay for such an app and it turns out the perfect one was here all the time. And free! |

Great program! Compass, log trips and mark way points. Can export kmls to google maps. Works well on my 8900. Make sure to exit the prog, sucks battery. Its totally free |

After installing this, and trying it, and being sure to exit the application, my battery drained very, very fast, like the app was still using full power. Handy app, however I will be deleting it because I need battery life more than BlackStar. |

The GPS data put out by this app is terrific! The type of "raw" data output is equivalent to my Garmin Nuvi 350, but the flexibility in units displayed is a very welcome addition. This app was very well thought out and it's truly amazing the developers are just giving it away for free. Kudos!! |

If you find the thread on how this app came about in crackberry its a interesting read. And the poeple who helped build this are truley awesome for doing this. One of the most responsive "companies" you will ever see.
About the app. Does everything it says it can and does it great. I use it while sailing hiking or geocaching. Makes for a lot of non lazy fun. |

I've had this app since the beginning and it keeps getting better and better! Oh, and for anyone complaining about font size or units of measure, take a look under settings, you might find an answer or two there. |
