Important Changes to BlackBerry World

Dear BlackBerry World Vendor,

As we approach the end-of-life for BlackBerry World, we wish to make you aware of some changes to the BlackBerry World storefront.

Beginning December 1, 2019, BlackBerry World will no longer process new Vendor registrations. Furthermore, no new Applications, or Update Releases to existing Applications, will be reviewed or approved for distribution on the storefront. Vendors will retain access to the Vendor Portal to run reports or remove applications from sale. Please note: After December 1, 2019 BlackBerry World will still be accessible by users with BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 devices.

What this means:

  • Beginning December 1, 2019, any new Vendor accounts will no longer be reviewed/approved
  • Beginning December 1, 2019, any Applications or Update Releases will no longer be reviewed/approved; this includes Meta-data changes (e.x. Description, Screenshots, etc.)
  • BlackBerry World storefront will remain accessible by customers via BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 devices, and by Vendors via the Vendor Portal

In order to have your product published in BlackBerry World™ you must have a vendor account and submit your product for evaluation by BlackBerry.

Products must adhere to the BlackBerry World™ Vendor Guidelines in order to be considered for inclusion.

For additional information on developing applications which are appropriate for submission, please refer to the BlackBerry World™ Vetting Criteria. After your products have been submitted, BlackBerry will contact you regarding the results and next steps.
